Coram Deo

Upon looking at Ligonier Ministries recent content I came across this very inspiring post and video. Coram Deo “Before the Face of God” is how we as Christians are called by our Lord to live our lives (remembering we are always in his presence). When we reflect upon our days the question should not be merely what has God done for me today (remembering to give thanks in prayer)? It in addition should also be, how have I lived my life for my Lord and Savior today (thus glorifying the Father), remembering that I am accountable not merely to man but to my Creator whose presence I continually exist in. It is yet another picture of abiding in Christ (continuing in Him), when we as believers continue in our Lord’s presence we will seek His will first and not that of our own remembering life is to be about honoring our Creator, Lord, Master, Teacher, and King! I know for a fact I stumble most days in some way or fashion and have to seek his forgiveness (the apostle Paul explains his understanding of this struggle in Romans 7:14-25), however what is comforting is the knowledge that Christ Jesus has already conquered all things and is so much more powerful and sovereign thus placing our transgressions in the context they belong in (already paid in full by our Lord’s precious atoning sacrifice at the cross).
